Notice and Apology Regarding Potential Personal Information Leakage
We sincerely appreciate your continued support of our group. In the early hours of 22 April, an incident occurred where four company-owned computers and three mobile phones (hereinafter referred to as "affected devices") stored were stolen from our warehouse in the Philippines. Due to the possibility of unauthorized access to these devices and the potential leakage of customer personal information, we are informing you of this incident.
We have completed remote login deactivation and forced locking of the affected devices, ensuring they cannot be accessed in a network environment. However, some information regarding customer deliveries, which may contain some personal data, may have been stored locally within the devices.
Accessing these company devices requires multiple password authentications, making it difficult for unauthorized access. At this time, we have no confirmed unauthorized access to these devices.
Additionally, we have posted an apology and notice regarding this incident on our online store website for our customers.
We are constantly monitoring the situation and reviewing our internal policies to prevent similar incidents in the future.
We have reported this incident to the National Privacy Commission (NPC) in accordance with the Date Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA) and have filed a police report.
Customers Whose Information May Have Been Leaked
On 22 April 2025 (Tuesday) at 7:00 AM, an employee at our warehouse noticed the theft of the affected devices upon arriving at work. Nippon Express Philippines Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "NX Corporation"), the lessor of our warehouse, reported the incident to the police and conducted an on-site investigation.
We have completed remote login deactivation and forced locking of the affected devices, ensuring they cannot be accessed in a network environment.
Additionally, we have posted an apology and notice regarding this incident on our online store website for our customers.

Customers who requested delivery of large furniture items at Nitori Philippines stores Period: From April 22, 2024 to April 23, 2025 (including the scheduled delivery date)

Approximately 2,800 cases
Information That May Be Viewed by Unauthorized Third Parties
The aforementioned customer’s name, phone number, address, and in certain cases, email address. Nitori Philippines Inc. and NX Corporation take this incident very seriously and will strive to build and strengthen a more robust information security system to ensure safety.
We once again deeply apologize for any inconvenience and concern this may cause to our customers and other stakeholders.
Potential Risk
In case unauthorized persons are able to access the data within the devices, there is a possibility that they may use the personal data to commit fraud. In this regard, we would like to advise our customers, particularly those who have recent deliveries, or are still expecting deliveries, to be on guard for possible malicious actors who may pose as Nitori personnel contacting you through your contact numbers and addresses.
Further, particularly for customers who have ordered online and have provided their email addresses, please be vigilant against “phishing attacks” whereby malicious actors may attempt to commit fraud by sending you emails pretending to be from Nitori.
Please note that the official Nitori email address is @nitori.com.ph when contacting customers, so please ensure that you are able to accurately confirm the sender's email address before opening or responding.

If you have any doubts or suspicions on whether you are dealing with legitimate Nitori personnel, please contact our hotline provided below. In case you feel that you are in any danger, please contact your local authorities immediately.
